Shipping and returns
Frozen beef is heavier and more fragile than most things people post. Here is how we handle it and what we will do if something goes wrong.
Pickup
Pickup at the ranch outside Heber Springs is free and it is how most people take delivery, particularly on half and quarter shares. We arrange a time with you once the animal is back from the processor.
Shipping
Frozen beef has to travel fast and cold, in an insulated box with enough dry ice or gel to hold temperature the whole way. Before you order from a distance, call the ranch and we will tell you honestly what we can do for your address. We would rather say no than send you a box of thawed beef.
If something is not right
Tell us. Call or email within 48 hours of receiving your order, with a photograph if there is something to see. If beef arrives thawed, damaged or short, we will replace it or refund it.
What we cannot take back
For food safety reasons we cannot accept a return of beef that has left our hands and been stored elsewhere. That is not a policy we invented, and it is why we would rather sort a problem out with a replacement or a refund than a return.
Shares and deposits
A share is a reservation on a specific animal. We will tell you the take home weight and the total cost before you commit. If plans change before the animal goes to the processor, talk to us and we will work it out.
